Detailed itinerary
Day 1 : Pick up and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked from Kigali airport by a guide who will interact with you and you get to know each other and then you will head to Kigali genocide memorial for a visit. You will tour this place with a guide and they with show you the remains if the 1994 Rwanda genocide and educate you about what happened. You will have lunch at a hotel in Kigali after the visit to Kigali genocide memorial.
After lunch at the hotel, you will start your journey to Volcanoes National Park and it will take about 2 hours to get there.

Day 2 : Gorilla trekking and hike to Dian Fossey Tomb
Gorilla trekking is one of the activities done and offered to visitors at volcanoes national park therefore on day 2 of the 6 days explore Rwanda tour, you will have breakfast at 6am and you be briefed afterwards at the park headquarters and then you will set off at 6:30am for a gorilla trek. On your trek through the trails, you will meet with other animals and you will be able to see them at a distance that is close. When you encounter the gorillas, you will stay for only one hour with them and after, you will be transferred after this moment to the lodge.
You will have lunch and then head for s hike to Dian Fossey Tomb and getting the hiking sticks and being briefed at the park headquarters. You will hike and see the Tomb of Dian Fossey and that of digit the beloved gorilla of Dian Fossey. There are also other historical sites at this place that give information to visitors about the gorillas. You will then head back to the lodge and lodge and you will take a shower. After that, you will have dinner and go to bed.
Day 3 : Hike to Mount Bisoke and transfer to Akagera National Park for an evening game drive
After an early morning breakfast, you will be guided by the park wardens and then embark on a hike to the summit of Mount bisoke and depending on your level of fitness, it will take you approximately 4 hours to get to the summit and when you are at the summit of Mount bisoke, you will get to the see other mountains that are neighboring it and the wildlife. You will descend back and this will take you about 2 hours.
When you are back at the lodge, you will have lunch check out and then head to Akagera National Park.

At Akagera National Park, you will be briefed in the evening and you set off fir a night game drive that will start at exactly 6:30 pm and end at around 8:30 pm. This game drive will expose you to nocturnal animals and this experience will take you about 2 hours. You will then be driven back fir dinner and you rest.
Day 4 : Morning game drive and a boat cruise
Before conducting a morning game drive at Akagera National Park, you will have breakfast and head to the park offices for guidance before the game drive starts. You will head for the game drive that will last for about 5 hours and the guide will help you in sharing the information about the animals and birds you will pass by on your drive. You will see a number if them rising in the morning and after this drive, you will be driven back by the guide to have lunch.
When lunch is done, you will head for briefing at the park offices and after you will at 3pm go for a boat cruise at lake Ihema which also has a lot of attractions and activities to offer to visitors. You will see wildlife while at this lake and a guide will take you through the details at this lake and later transfer you to the lodge after you have spent an hour at lake Ihema. You will later in the day have dinner and rest.
Day 5 : Transfer to lake kivu for a boat cruise
You will have breakfast in the morning after you are done freshening up. This breakfast will be served at 8am and you will later be transferred by the guide to lake kivu after leaving the hotel in Akagera National Park. At lake kivu, you will have lunch and after be briefed.
After briefing, you will engage in a boat cruise with a guide who will assist you in touring around lake kivu. You will get to see the animals and birds that reside at this lake and you will also get views of the islands at this lake. The guide will then transfer you at the hotel where you will stay that night and its where you will have your supper.

Day 6 : Transfer to Kigali airport
On day 6 of the explore Rwanda tour, you will check out of the lodge after taking breakfast and a guide will take you to a visit at musanze caves and you get to trek around this place through the tunnels where you will meet a number of bats and other historical items of Rwanda. You will get awareness about musanze caves from the guides and you will be able to know what transpired at these caves in the ancient days. For example, the caves sheltered the refugees after the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will then after head for lunch a hotel in musanze where a guide will transfer you to Kigali airport.
