3 Days Bwindi Gorilla and Bunyonyi Safari
This is a Uganda Safari that takes you to western Uganda in the destinations of Bwindi National Park as well as Lake Bunyonyi for unforgettable Uganda Safari experience.
Day 1: Kigali City Tour, Transfer to Bwindi, Batwa Cultural Tour
You will be picked up from Kigali by our Uganda safari guide, who will meet you and brief you about your 3-day gorilla trekking trip. Embark on a city tour visiting sites like the Kigali Genocide memorial. Thereafter, you will start your drive to the Cyanika border to cross to Uganda.
You will transfer to Bwindi, enjoying the beautiful views of the highlands and hills of Kigali and southwestern Uganda. Lunch will be enjoyed en route. Enjoy a Batwa cultural tour learning about the way of life of the former co-dwellers of the park. Check in at the lodge later, and relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you will carry a packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and conversant with different gorilla trekking trails. Trekking to mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located, because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
During gorilla trekking in Bwindi, you will be able to view other primate species, different bird species, plants among others. Upon encountering the mountain gorillas, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, which gives you an opportunity to observe their behaviours and watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding, playing, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, taking photos and recording videos. After the one-hour encounter with the gentle giants, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Check in at the resort, and relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Chahafi Resort.

Day 3: Boat Safari on Lake Bunyonyi, Kigali Drop Off
Enjoy breakfast, and thereafter you will go for an amazing canoe ride where you will paddle along the shores with spectacular views of beautiful scenery, explore some of the 29 islands such as the punishment island where girls who got pregnant were left to die as a punishment, and view terraced farmlands, bird species among others. After canoeing you will enjoy lunch, and thereafter proceed on a transfer back to Kigali. This ends your 3-day Bwindi Gorillas and Bunyonyi Safari from Kigali.
